Linn Dems Cookout & Pie Auction sets recordMore than 90 people turned out Sept. 18 on the balmy final Sunday evening of summer for our 6th annual Linn Dems Cookout & Pie Auction at Lebanon's River Park. We were honored to have Jamie McLeod-Skinner for Oregon and Democratic Party of Oregon Vice Chair Rosa Colquitt with us, as well as Mary Cooke for HD11, Ben Watts For Oregon HD15, Scott Bruslind for Linn County Commissioner and more. The event raised more than $4,300 – a record – with proceeds going toward our campaign office and other expenses for the campaign season. A big thank you to Jerred Taylor, Linn Dems chair and the evening's terrific emcee and auctioneer, and Keith Kolkow, Linn Dems Event chair, whose committee organized the event and set up the great food line; and to the Crazed Weasels – Judy Arter and Loren Ford – for the music and sound. And special thanks to everyone who brought food, pies, cakes and other auction items and to those who successfully bid and made contributions. |
