Nancy Greenman, Linn Dems Neighborhood Leader coordinator, leads an NLP training session in February 2020 at Little Wuesten German Food in downtown Albany.
The Neighborhood Leader Program makes voter engagement effective and fun. The program supports our candidates during elections and builds our county party all year long.
When leaders are ready to act, they receive a list of neighborhood Democratic voters, as well as any materials needed for outreach. They knock on doors, write postcards or letters, make phone calls or send texts to connect with the voters on their list. Over time, leaders become go-to sources of reliable information for their neighbors. They enter the results of their activities in the Neighborhood Leader database, where they contribute to our candidates’ roadmaps to success.
Since 2020, Linn and Benton County Neighborhood Leader Programs began to closely collaborate and will continue to work together through 2023. For more information about the program contact Nancy Greenman.
- Neighborhood Leaders build ongoing relationships. They connect with their Democratic neighbors to hear their concerns and give them information about issues and candidates; and
- Neighborhood Leaders help to get out the vote at election time by making sure their neighbors have what they need to return their ballots on time.
