WHY I'M RUNNING: "Four years ago you re-elected me to represent you in the State Senate, where I voted to create economic opportunity, fight for better public schools, support our state universities and community colleges, and keep our families safe.
"I know it’s critical that we keep Oregon’s economy on track. That’s why my top priority in the Senate was passing last year’s historic transportation and jobs package that funds infrastructure improvements, keeps our roads safe, and creates well-paying jobs for Oregonians.
"Because education is the key to a bright future for our kids and our community, I am working to provide more funding to our public schools to reduce class sizes and hire more teachers.
"It’s been an honor and a privilege to work on your behalf, and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made.
"But there is much more we can do to realize our state’s full potential. With your support, we can continue to make Oregon a great place to live, work and do business."
