WHY I'M RUNNING:
I’m a Stayton City Councilor and working single mother whose roots in Linn County go back over 100 years. I grew up in Scio and graduated from Scio High School.
House District 17 is home to strong, vibrant communities, all of which face unique challenges.
We are Rural Oregon, and after years of being overshadowed by metropolitan politics, I’m ready to fight for our voices to be taken seriously at the Oregon Legislature.
I’m running for State Representative of House District 17, for Rural Oregon, and for the communities I love and call home.
My voting record as a City Councilor shows that I don’t get intimidated by opposing the popular view. I stand for justice, equity, equality and basic human rights.

It’s time to get the funding and support our communities deserve. It’s time for our district to have a new strategy to achieve our goals – a strategy that is more than a walkout that gets nothing for our communities.
It’s time for Rural Oregon to have a seat at the decision making table.
It’s time for a fearless candidate who favors community interests and values over party politics.
Join our fight to move our communities forward and demand the State Legislature hear our voices. Please vote for me for State Representative of House District 17 in the Democratic Primary  May 19, 2020, or write me in on your ballot if you're not a Democrat.
