• OCCUPATION: Wildland firefighter, company owner, fire science instructor.
• OCCUPATIONAL HISTORY: 32 years as a wildand firefighter; eight years as owner of Big Bark, a wildland fire company and tree service; two years as owner and operator of Northwest Wildland Training Academy.
• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: currently serves on Board of Directors for the Organization of Fire Contractors and Associates; served as vice chair of Sugar City Gleaners in Sweet Home.
• EDUCATION: Attended South Albany High School for two years, then finished high school and received a diploma from Crescent Valley High School. Attended Linn-Benton Community College, then graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science from Rogue Community College in Grants Pass.
• FAMILY: Married and the father of four children, all of whom work in the wildland fire industry.
• WHY HE'S RUNNING:
I am seeking this position because I believe public offices should operate with transparency, modernization, and clear communication with the public. I want to bring the same practical, common-sense leadership I have used throughout my career to ensure this office serves our community openly, efficiently, and responsibly while protecting taxpayers and using public resources wisely.
