A message from Linn Dems Chair Jerred Taylor![]() Thursday, May 30 We're gearing up for the November election with excitement and enthusiasm. Most of the key races across the state have been called and news out of New York today proves that our system of justice still stands. While Trump's conviction surely has brought a sigh of relief to many, democracy is STILL on the line. Now is not the time for us to be complacent. The most recent primary election in Oregon is on track to have the lowest voter participation since 1960. That said, Democrats in Linn County voted at a rate of 41 percent, with Democrats on Neighborhood Leader lists voting at least 7 points higher at 48%. Turnout is going to be key for local and statewide elections in November, and so we must dig deeper than ever to make it happen. If you are not a Neighborhood Leader, PLEASE get involved. When we build relationships and encourage our neighbors to become educated voters, they vote! Please also consider supporting our efforts with a monthly contribution of $10. Each $10 that you contribute allows us provide support for our candidates and to reach even more voters though face-to-face conversations, postcards and phone calls. We're doing a ton of work this summer to build our party, support candidates, and more. We hope that you will join us at the Strawberry Festival Grand Parade on June 1 in Lebanon. Albany Pride on June 22, the County Fair in July, organization efforts in Albany and Lebanon all summer long, and really hope you'll cap off Summer with us at our annual Cookout and Pie Auction. November will be here before we know it, and our team is pumped up and ready to fight for our rights, our freedoms, and our democracy. Please join us! In Solidarity, — Jerred Taylor Linn County Democrats Chair |
