- OCCUPATION: Retired electrical engineer
- WORK HISTORY: Design test for and testing various electrical systems from hospital furniture to ink cartridges to slot machines to grain loss monitors
- EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineer with emphasis on communication systems, Trine University, Angola, Indiana
- PRIOR POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Precinct 30, Linn County Democrat Precinct Committee Person.
- FAMILY: Wife Karen, daughter Stacey, sons Philip and Benjamin
- HOBBIES/INTERESTS: Lions Club International, volunteer work with Spirit of the Valley United Methodist Church, playing farmer, gardening, wood-working, tinkering with electronics, solving puzzles, singing
- WHY I'M RUNNING:
- Linn County has provided a comfortable home for us since moving here in 1996 and I would like to give back now that I have the time.
- Provide a fresh perspective on issues of zoning, road care, green spaces, helping the homeless.
- Encourage community involvement by stressing the need to have meetings open to the public during evenings when working people can attend.
- Strive to serve fellow members of the county to the best of my ability.
