• OCCUPATIONAL/WORK HISTORY: Non-Profit Board Member; U.S. Army Public Affairs Specialist - Writer; Print Journalist; Human Resources Specialist; Emergency First Responder and EMT.
• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Prior governmental experience as an Albany City Arts Commissioner.
• EDUCATION: Educational Background: Defense Information School, Fort Meade, Maryland; Institute of Technology - Mather Campus; De Anza Community College, Cupertino California.
• FAMILY: Carolyn is a single mom with a 5-year-old daughter she shares with her ex-husband, who also still lives in Albany. She has multiple siblings and multiple generations of family members living in the Willamette Valley.
• HOBBIES/INTERESTS: Carolyn likes to paint landscape and abstract scenes in acrylic on canvas. She has a retired service dog named Marshall who enjoys soft belly rubs and snacks, and she loves sleeping under the stars by expertly-built campfires.
• WHY I’M RUNNING:
I’m running for city council because I believe in Albany’s boundless potential. As a mother, community advocate, and Army veteran, I understand the power of service and collaboration to create a better future for all of us. I intend to do what is right, what is just, and what is fair for all residents here in Albany.
